This is the most important part of every project and will usually consist of a briefing
meeting as well as independent research. Taking the time at this stage of the project
to learn as much as possible about you, your short and long term goals and your
expectations from the project, will not only improve our working relationship, but can
save you time and money in the long run.
Deliverables: Written response to brief and project timeline.
Once I understand your goals, it is time to come up with a solid plan to achieve them.
Starting with an appreciation of your budget, timeline and project requirements I will
begin to organise the information we have gathered so far to create a skeleton structure
and a plan of action. I’ll also be searching for the angle or concept that will make the
final product engaging, memorable and uniquely you.
Deliverables: Presentation outlining the design concepts and plan of attack.
Together we have agreed a concept, plan of action and a clear list of deliverables.
Now we just need to start crafting the final product. Depending on the concept chosen,
this might be done by me, or in collaboration with other freelancers. Either way you can
be assured that the final product will be considered, cohesive and actually work.
Oh yeah, and I’ll make sure it looks great as well!
Deliverables: 2 sets of design developments and management of production.
Let’s be honest. The rest of the project is worth nothing if the end product does not bring
you that little bit closer to achieving both your short and long term goals. That is why at
the end of every project I will sit down with you to identify the things that worked, the
things that could work better, and the things that could be done now or in the future to
achieve even better results.
Deliverables: Opportunity to feed back in person or in writing.
